The HIV/AIDS Early Intervention Program, funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, provides confidential HIV/AIDS testing to all Pilsen Wellness Center program participants receiving substance abuse treatment. It also offers pre and post-test counseling, and referrals as needed. Program services focus on reducing the possible risk of HIV transmission and infection as well as related education on sexually transmitted diseases. Services also include testing for the Hepatitis C virus.
