The Opioid Maintenance Initiative Program, funded by the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Ryan White Care Act, Title I, provides outpatient methadone treatment services and addresses the specific needs of clients with heroin addition problems who also have an HIV/AIDS diagnosis or are at a significant risk for contracting the HIV virus.
